A classic, alpine ski traverse through the rugged Monolith Basin offers deep wilderness exploration for the skiing enthusiast. Combining hut stays with back country camping, this five day expedition traverses one of the hidden alpine gems of the spectacular Sawtooth Mountains. From a base camp amongst the alpine bowls and granite towers, the goal of climbing and skiing the surrounding peaks and bowls is within reach, including Thompson Peak (the highest of the Sawtooth Mountains).
