Join Sun Valley Trekking on this 10-day trek through some of the wildest country left in North America. We will fly by bush plane into the heart of the Wrangell-St.Elias National Park, the largest protected wilderness in the world, and begin exploring this vast and seldom visited corner of the globe. Massive glaciers, pristine alpine valleys and unnamed/unclimbed peaks set the stage for this adventure. We will fly to the “Alpine Oasis” in our bush plane, a remote valley surrounded by glaciers and large sand dunes. We will then begin the trek through lush, wild flower filled valleys, across glaciers, to the spectacular Iceberg Lake. This area is home to many Brown Bears, Dall Sheep and Wolverines, allowing us to observe these amazing animals in their natural, unspoiled home.
