Experience America’s first National Park away from the crowds. Join us as we explore the Yellowstone backcountry by sea-kayak! We’ll glide across these sub-alpine lakes, hike the shorelines, explore a backcountry geyser basin, view the wildlife and sleep under a crystalline starry sky. In the evenings, enjoy a gourmet meal prepared by our experienced naturalist-guides as the sun sets over the lake.
Our versatile, stable and spacious sea-kayaks allow you to explore the remote corners of the park in a very intimate way. Our favorite route is the Lewis-Shoshone Lakes 5-day Expedition, in the heart of the Yellowstone backcountry. Here we explore the forested trails of Shoshone Lake, paddle through the gentle channel between the 2 lakes, and discover the magic of the Shoshone geyser basin complex. We spend a day hiking around the geyser basin in search of hot springs for soaking in, and perhaps to learn the names of the abundant wildflowers that surround us. Our campsites provide us with peaceful evenings to share delicious food among friends or to seek solitude along the shorelines.
