Level 1 Avalanche Course: January 4-6, 2008 & Feb. 1-3, 2008
This hut-based course
emphasizes practical
avalanche awareness and safety measures through hands-on learning.
Participants will receive certification consistent with the American Avalanche Association Guidelines. [more info]
Level 2 Avalanche Course: TBA
Intensive 4 day course designed for
the experienced backcountry skier looking to advance their avalanche
skills. Level 1 certification is required for
enrollment and participants should have advanced ski/snowboard

Chix On Stix: March 10-12, 2008
An all women’s hut-skiing adventure. For
women who want to learn about safe backcountry travel and ski techniques
in a supportive, and fun environment. [more

Monolith Valley Ski Mountaineering: April 11-15, 2008
Unique combination of hut-skiing and winter
camping in a remote alpine basin. Two nights in cozy huts and two
nights camping amongst
the Sawtooth giants. [more

Sawtooth Haute Route: April 19-27, 2008
A bold and adventurous 9-day ski traverse
of the Sawtooth Mountains. The route links a series of remote alpine
basins, framed

Alaska St. Elias Ski Mountaineering: May 9-18, 2008
On this ten-day expedition we fly
via ski plane to the heart of the range on the upper reaches
of the massive icefields. We base camp among
pristine peaks rising out of the ice. New climbing routes and ski
descents abound, so we can select our objectives according to the

Yellowstone Ski Traverse: March 15-22, 2008
Ski through the wild heart of our nations 1st
National Park. From Old Faithful through the remote Shoshone Geyser
Basin and out the
Bechler River, hot springs and viewing wildlife are the highlights. [more

Sawtooth Mountain Hut to Hut Ski Tour: By Special Arrangement
On this 5-day tour we will ski from hut to hut through some of the most pristine and wild mountains in the country. The Fishhook Yurt and the Bench Hut will be our accomodations. Days will include exploring this winter wonderland on skis or snowshoes, with opportunities to sample the famous Rocky Mountain powder and the breath taking vistas. Enjoy the wood fired sauna or hot tub by evening moonlight. Our guides will maximize the fun, safety, and learning as they share their love of this very special place.
Smokey Mountain Hut to Hut Ski Tour: By Special Arrangement
This hut tour is ideal for the downhill oriented skiers or snowboarders, as we will have many opportunities to ski the beautiful slopes surrounding the Tornak Hut and Coyote Yurt. A minimum of 4 days is required to truly reap the bounties offered by this unique backcountry location. A tireless search for pristine powder, as well as learning backcountry travel techniques and safety are the focus of this hut-skiing adventure.
