From June through October, the Sun Valley area is blessed with a magnificent system of trails that mountain bikers of every ability can enjoy.  Join SVT for a guided half-day, full-day, or multi-day yurt-based mountain biking trip.  Whether it’s an introductory lesson, or cruising down moderate buffed-out single track, or gnarly gonzo expedition riding, the guides of Sun Valley Trekking can take you to the best trails for your interest and abilities.

One of the greatest and most unique assets for mountain biking in the Sun Valley area is the Coyote Yurt.  The yurt sits at 8700ft. in the Smoky Mountains right outside of Sun Valley.  In the height of summer it is wonderful to be able to escape the heat and enjoy the rides in the higher elevations.  The yurt also allows for mountain biking widows and children to enjoy the peace and beauty of a high mountain locale, while the other party members can spend the day on sweet single track that is beyond the time limits required for normal day-riding. 

Coming back to the yurt after a long ride, with the BBQ grill smoking and cold drinks chilling, is the cherry on top of a perfect day.  The whole party can sit back and enjoy 3-hour sunsets from the deck in front of the yurt while dinner is cooking.

Guided Bike Trip rates (based upon a minimum of 3 people):
Half Day: $100/person, includes guide and transport
Full Day: $130/person, includes guide and transport
Multi-Day: $230/person/day includes guide, yurt rental, food, and transport)

The sheer volume of single-track trails available (roughly 450 miles), allow people to spread out and have an experience of peace and solitude.   Many rides may end with a jump in the river or a stop at our favorite pub for a pint on your way home.  There are even 2 hot springs you can bathe in on your way home from a ride!
